Scioto Yard Masters

About Scioto Yard Masters

Stand on the bank below Ashland and the river is wide enough to carry a whole sky on it, barges pushing west toward where the Scioto comes in. Scioto Yard Masters keeps yards on both the town side and the ridge side of that view, where bottomland grass runs lush and hilltop grass runs lean. The rhythm is simple and repeatable: mow on schedule, trim what the deck misses, edge the drives, clear the concrete. Spring arrives here all at once after the last cold snap, and the cutting season opens with a rush that does not let up until fall. Through all of it, a kept lawn along US 23 says the same thing a swept porch does.
