Webb’s Lawn & Landscape

About Webb’s Lawn & Landscape

Late in a Warren County summer the afternoon light runs long and gold over the hayfields toward Woodburn, and in that low sun every lawn in Alvaton shows exactly how it was cut. Webb's Lawn & Landscape works to be ready for that light: mowing on a rhythm the grass can keep up with, string-trimming around mailbox posts and porch piers, edging the seam where concrete meets green. Storms build up out of the southwest here and arrive in a hurry, so there is a particular satisfaction in finishing the last pass with the thunder still a county away. When the sycamores let go in October, the work turns to leaves and fallen limbs and the long job of putting yards to bed for the cold. Alvaton is small and the roads are known ones — the same drives, the same gates, each time around.
