Johnson's Legacy Landscapes

About Johnson's Legacy Landscapes

In May the old shaded streets near Crown Heights turn a green so deep it seems borrowed from somewhere wetter, and the lawns under those big trees grow uneven if nobody is minding them. Johnson's Legacy Landscapes minds them: mowing that keeps the whole yard on one plane, edges cut sharp where turf meets stone and concrete, trimming that follows the curve of a bed instead of chopping across it. Landscape work here means respecting what was planted long before, keeping beds defined and clean without crowding the plantings out. Wichita will hand a lawn a hot dry August soon enough, so spring is spent setting it up to take that well. A yard that looks composed from the street and generous from the porch — that is the outcome they work toward.
