CHEAPEST TREE WORK

About CHEAPEST TREE WORK

Planeview went up fast in the 1940s, rows of small houses built for people working the airplane plants, and the streets there are still narrow and close together — good for walking to a neighbor's porch, tight for turning a plow around. CHEAPEST TREE WORK clears those blocks driveway by driveway, working the smaller lots on the south side where a shovel still does most of the job a big truck can't reach. Scrape the drive, clear the walk to the door, break up the ice at the mailbox before somebody slips reaching for it. The houses here sit close to the ground and close to each other, and getting them all cleared after a Kansas front takes patience more than horsepower. By midmorning the block looks like itself again, dark driveways lined up against white yards on either side.
