About Summer services

Long before Westmoreland had front lawns, Oregon Trail wagons stopped at Scott Spring here, where travelers found cool water and grass for their animals. The grass is still the point. Summer services cares for lawns in Westmoreland through the warm months its name calls to mind, starting early while the Pottawatomie County air is cool and dew is still lifting off the hills. Mowing goes down in neat parallel rows, trimming follows the foundation and circles the shade trees, and the yard is left ready for lawn chairs by suppertime. History passed through here on its way west; a Summer services lawn is made for staying put.
