About Hines Lawn Care

March in Wellington announces itself with a freight horn and a wind that finally has warmth buried somewhere in it. The rail yard has been the town's heartbeat since the shops came, and along those streets the dormant fescue and bermuda sit gray and matted, full of winter's litter, waiting for someone to open them up. Hines Lawn Care starts the year there — clearing the dead thatch and blown-in debris, taking the first cut low and even, re-cutting the edges the frost heaved crooked, and trimming back what crowded the fence line since fall. It is unglamorous work with an immediate payoff: a yard that looked abandoned on Friday looks lived-in by Saturday afternoon. From that first pass the route runs straight through the season, week after week, across Wellington and the small towns west of it.
