Grass Roots Co

About Grass Roots Co

Everything that lasts in this country is holding on underground. Sumner County soil grew tallgrass with roots deeper than a person is tall long before it grew wheat, and Grass Roots Co takes its name and its thinking from that. Their work in Wellington is mowing, edging, trimming and putting seed down where a yard has gone thin, so the turf comes back from the bottom up rather than being patched from the top. April is the honest month for it: Slate Creek runs high, thunderheads stack up in the west by afternoon, and grass that has been fed and cut on rhythm answers the first warm rain within days. There is a plain pride in coming back in July to a lawn that stayed green because the roots were given a reason to go looking for water.
