About Del's Tree Service, LLC

The ravines along Mill Creek run through Shawnee thick with oak and hickory, and in winter those same trees stand bare and heavy under snow, which is exactly the kind of thing Del's Tree Service watches for after a real storm. The crew clears fallen limbs and storm debris off driveways and walks so a downed branch under a foot of snow doesn't strand somebody at their own front door. After a storm, finding the ravine's oak and hickory canopy still holding its full head of limbs — nothing down across the driveway below — is confirmation the read on the trees was right again this year. Walks get treated for ice at the same stops, especially where creek-bottom shade keeps a driveway slicker than the sunnier street out front. Reading a tree's limits is a year-round habit for this crew; in winter, it just happens to matter for what's parked in the driveway underneath.
