About Streets Lawn Service Co.

Pittsburg is laid out plain and generous: Broadway holding its long straight line, brick side streets running off into the old Little Balkans neighborhoods, a mowing route that makes perfect sense once you know the town by its corners. Streets Lawn Service Co. moves through that grid on a repeating week, and midsummer Saturdays start early — deck down by seven, before the air thickens and the day turns still. Grass here grows hard in the humid stretch of July, so the answer is rhythm rather than heroics, the same yards on the same days, never let to get ahead of you. The detail worth being proud of is small and public: curb grass trimmed square, walks blown clean, not a clipping left on the drive. Pittsburg is the center of it, with Chicopee, Frontenac, Franklin and Weir on the same rounds.
