About JD Tree Service Company LLC

The old strip pits east of Pittsburg have gone green and wooded, and the oak and hickory in this corner of Kansas grow more like Ozark trees than prairie ones. JD Tree Service Company LLC keeps that hardwood in hand across Crawford County — pruning the big oaks over Little Balkans porches, trimming the maples and sweet gums that get above themselves in a wet year. Removals are measured out branch by branch when a tree stands close to the house, and the ground underneath is left rakeable. Straight-line wind comes through in late spring, and cleanup happens the same day when it can: limbs off the roof, the drive opened, the flowerbeds put right. There is a quiet satisfaction in a Lincoln Park street that looks calm again by suppertime.
