About Cliff's Welding Service, Inc.

Cliff's Welding Service sits out where Phillipsburg's grain elevators throw long shadows across the rail spur, and the same shop that bends iron all summer keeps a plow mounted once the wind swings out of the north. Snow here rarely falls soft; it comes sideways off the plains and piles into drifts along every fence line and driveway apron in the county. Running a blade down to bare gravel or asphalt in one pass, ahead of a wind still trying to fill the ground back in, is most of the job in January. The shop's own yard gets cleared first, then the drives and lots around town, boots crunching over ground that was knee-deep an hour before. Phillipsburg's winters are a wind problem as much as a snow one, and Cliff's Welding Service treats both the same: push it back and keep pushing.
