About Rivera's Landscaping and Lawn Services LLC

Near the elementary schools on Overland Park's east side, the winter morning runs on its own clock: driveways need to be clear before the car line forms, walks need salt down before the first kid steps out in snow boots. Rivera's Landscaping and Lawn Services LLC works that stretch of the schedule hard, moving fast through the neighborhoods around the schools, where a late driveway means a late morning for somebody trying to get out the door. These routes repeat year after year, the same houses, the same corner where the crossing guard sets up once the walks are passable. The trucks move block to block in the gray early light, plow and shovel crew working in tandem so a driveway buried at seven is clear by seven-fifteen. By the time the first bell rings, the neighborhood looks like the snow barely touched it, except for the banks piled at the end of every driveway, proof of how much actually came down.
