About Farmer Excavating Inc

Long before the Jefferson County courthouse square stirs, heavy equipment is already out on the gravel section roads around Oskaloosa, blade down, pushing drifts off the crown of the road. This is farm country along the Delaware River bottoms, where one impassable lane can mean a milk truck turned back or a herd left unfed, so the work starts wherever the need runs worst. Farmer Excavating Inc clears driveways, farm lanes, and equipment yards through the winter months, running the same machines that move dirt the rest of the year. A farm lane opened clean to the barn door before the sun clears the treeline is its own small reward, the kind that makes an early start worth it. Snow doesn't stay pretty long against black dirt fields out here, but for an hour after the blade passes, the lane cuts a bright line straight through the white.
