About Sapling Services LLC

The street trees on Olathe's newest blocks are still saplings, staked and thin, planted the same year the houses went up around them. Sapling Services LLC ties those young trunks off before the first heavy snow of the season and clears the driveways beneath them once the storm has passed, treating both jobs like they matter to the same yard. A wet Kansas snow bends a young tree in ways an old oak never bends, so part of the winter work is walking the block first, checking stakes, before the plow even starts. Streets this new have no shade yet, so the sun does half the melting on its own by early afternoon — but a driveway left icy at dawn is still a driveway someone has to leave for work from. By the second thaw the saplings stand straight again, and every drive on the block has long since been clear.
