About Katalina, LLC

Lake Olathe goes still and gray by January, its edges rimmed in ice while the trail that circles it disappears under snow overnight. Katalina, LLC clears the residential streets that ring that end of town, working driveways in sight of the frozen water while walkers who'd normally circle the lake stay home. Snow off a Kansas front tends to squall rather than drift steady, coming hard for an hour and quitting just as fast, so timing a plow route right here means watching the lull between bands more than the forecast. A driveway cleared while the flakes are still falling holds its edge better than one left for later, and that's the difference in a town where the wind picks back up by afternoon. Walkways get their salt down before the ice can bond to the concrete, and by the next thaw the lake path is the only thing in the neighborhood still holding snow.
