Indian Creek begins on Olathe's east side, in the swales behind streets where the maples have had decades of autumns to get big. In October those trees let go all at once, and Hometown Lawn arrives with blowers and a trailer to move it before the grass smothers underneath. The rest of the year runs on the weekly cut, the trim along the fence and the flowerbed, the edge reopened where turf keeps trying to swallow the walk. Spring cleanups get the beds ready; fall seeding gets the lawn ready. It is neighborhood work at neighborhood scale, done street by street.
