Elevated Living

About Elevated Living

Olathe sits on a rise most drivers never notice — the long, quiet divide where rainfall to the north eventually finds the Kansas River and rain to the south drains toward the Marais des Cygnes. Elevated Living works the ridge-top additions built along that high ground, where wind off the open line gets first at every driveway before it reaches the streets below. A fast winter front crossing that divide drops its snow dry and quick, and a plow blade set right can clear a cul-de-sac in one pass before the wind fills it back in. Mornings up there start pale and blue, rooftops brightening while the low ground is still shadowed, and a driveway scraped clean against that skyline has a certain lift to it. The work follows the ridge street by street until the high side of town is bare pavement again.
