Cameron's Snow and Tree

About Cameron's Snow and Tree

Along Cedar Creek the old cottonwoods hold their ice in silence, black branches glazed white while Cameron's Snow and Tree works the driveways before first light. Olathe's Alberta clippers arrive fast off the plains, and a tree crew knows better than most how a limb bends before it breaks — the same eye reads a driveway before the plow does. Blades scrape down to bare concrete on Cedar Creek Parkway while the sky is still charcoal, walkways salted before school buses turn onto the street. There is a particular satisfaction in a cleared drive under a stand of iced timber, the yard beneath it dark and orderly against the white. By the time the cottonwoods start to drip at noon, the work is already done.
