About Woodsman Tree Service LLC

North Newton grew up alongside Bethel College, and the campus and the streets around it are shaded by some of the oldest, tallest trees in Harvey County — the kind that take a whole crew and a very long ladder to manage safely after an ice storm bends them low. Woodsman Tree Service works those same blocks in winter with plows instead of chainsaws, clearing the streets that wind past the campus green and the houses tucked in close beside it. Sand Creek traces the edge of town, and cold pools in that low ground overnight, so the mornings here often start ten degrees colder than the reading in Newton just across the tracks. The work is quiet, unhurried — a college town on a snow day moves slower than most, and there's no rush to have every street clear before the first class bell that isn't ringing anyway. By early afternoon, with the sun higher over the bare campus trees, the streets are open and the quiet holds a little longer than usual.
