About Nexgen landscaping

On the newer streets at the north edge of Newton, the trees are still staked and the sod seams have not entirely knit, and a June lawn out there needs more than a mower to make it into something. Nexgen landscaping takes on that stretch of the work — feeding turf that is trying to root into hard prairie clay, keeping crabgrass and bindweed from claiming the thin spots, mowing at a height that shades the soil through a Kansas afternoon. Older yards near the center of town get the same attention on different terms, where decades of shade and traffic have taught the grass its own habits. Edges are cut, trimming is carried around every obstacle, and the clippings come off the drive before anyone gets home. A lawn that has closed in tight and holds its color into August is the result worth chasing here.
