Murillo's Landscaping

About Murillo's Landscaping

Newton in April is redbud weather — that short, improbable week when the small trees around Military Park go magenta and every yard in town decides at once that it is done sleeping. Murillo's Landscaping works Saturdays into that rush: winter's litter raked out from under the shrubs, hedges brought back to shape before they leaf out, the first mow of the year taken high so the turf keeps its roots deep. Shrub and hedge trimming here is patient work, because a Kansas spring can hand you eighty degrees on Tuesday and frost on Friday. Edges get cut fresh where sod has crept over the concrete, and the beds come back into view like someone drew them there. By the time October pulls the leaves down along the side streets, the same yards get gathered up again and put away clean for the cold.
