Brad's Lawn & Landscape

About Brad's Lawn & Landscape

There is a stretch of June in Newton when the wheat is coming off the fields outside town and every lawn inside it seems to grow an inch a night. Brad's Lawn & Landscape meets that season head-on, cutting in the long straight passes that make a yard look like the outfield grass over at Athletic Park — stripes that catch the low light and hold it. The mowing is only the half of it: beds get shaped and mulched, shrubs get kept in their lines, and the borders between turf and planting stay crisp enough to see from the street. Trimming and edging finish what the deck starts, and nothing gets left on the concrete. A place that has been kept this way carries itself differently all summer long.
