Stricklin's Landscaping

About Stricklin's Landscaping

Late September along Lamar, the alleys behind the houses go cool in the afternoon and the light comes in sideways across the front yards. Stricklin's Landscaping counts this as the best stretch of the Mission year — the heat broken, the fescue growing again, everything responding to a cut instead of just surviving one. The route runs on mowing, trimming, edging and hauling off what falls, kept up steadily from the first green through the last leaf. Autumn in Johnson County can turn from shirtsleeves to a hard freeze inside a week, so the fall cleanup does not wait for a perfect day. What it leaves behind is a lawn set up to come back strong.
