About Dawson Services

Medicine Lodge sits where the river meets Elm Creek, with the red buttes of the Gypsum Hills standing up just west of town and the light turning copper on them in the last hour of the day. Dawson Services keeps the lawns down here in the bottomland cut and shaped, with weekly mowing, trimming along fences, foundations and cedar lines, edging on walks and drives, and a clean sweep of clippings before the truck pulls out. Barber County summers arrive dry and hot with red dust riding the wind, so cutting height and timing matter more than anything else to keeping turf alive. In spring the grass runs hard after every rain; by September it settles into its best weeks of the year. A yard that stays green under that sky is worth every trip out to it.
