About Prairie Landworks Inc.

The old hedgerows around McPherson County keep their thorny tangle long after everything else has given up for the year, and by late November the lawns in town have gone dormant and quiet. Prairie Landworks Inc. works right through the tail of that season, taking the last cuts of the fall, pulling leaves and debris off the turf, cutting back borders, and reestablishing edges so a yard sits tidy under whatever the winter brings. Come April those same yards get the first mow, and from there the weekly cycle of mowing, trimming and edging carries all the way to frost. Grass in this part of Kansas lives between a windy spring and a punishing summer, and both go easier on a lawn that has been kept up. That through-line is the service.
