About J&R Lawn Services

Turkey Creek runs quiet through McPherson, and the cottonwoods along it hold their gold until about the second week of October, then let it all go at once into every yard downwind. J&R Lawn Services works that part of the calendar hard: final mowings taken lower as growth slows, leaves cleared off the turf before they mat down over winter, fence lines and bed edges trimmed back clean. Through the summer it is the steady weekly cut, with edges kept crisp along drives and sidewalks. Central Kansas does not do gentle transitions here; the heat holds and holds, and then one front comes down and the season turns overnight. Being ready for that morning is most of the job.
