Ad Astra Arborists

About Ad Astra Arborists

The state motto talks about reaching the stars through difficulties, and on the Smoky Hills you can see both halves of it at once — a sky with nothing in the way, and wind that asks plenty of anything standing under it. Ad Astra Arborists looks after the shade of McPherson: the elms near Lakeside Park, the maples around the courthouse square, the yard trees that came up alongside the houses. Tree health is where the work starts — deadwood, soil, the way a canopy thins on one side — and the pruning follows from what the tree is telling you. Ongoing tree care means small, well-timed cuts rather than one hard year of them. Removal is the last answer, kept for the trees that have truly finished, and done so neatly that the wheat-country light comes straight back to the lawn.
