Edges get cut clean along drives and walks, clippings get cleared off the concrete, and the yard is quiet again by dark. Fertilization, broadleaf weed control and grub treatment keep tall fescue standing through the dry stretch that usually arrives in July. In fall, aeration and overseeding do the patient work that shows up the following May.
