About Desco Lawn & Landscapes

West of town the flood canal runs its long straight line, and the wind that comes across it in the afternoon bends every blade of grass the same direction at once. Desco Lawn & Landscapes takes the heat of the day head on, running a route that stitches the newer additions to the older streets — mowing, trimming fence lines and mailbox posts, keeping bed edges cut sharp against the turf. Grass out here grows in a hurry after a rain and then bakes, so the deck comes up in July and the blades stay keen enough to cut rather than tear. Late in the day the light goes long and low across a freshly striped yard and the sweat reads as worth it. The route carries on out toward Colwich, Bentley and the northwest edge of Wichita.
