Mission Exteriors

About Mission Exteriors

Leawood's older boulevards carry heavy tree cover, and a winter storm here tends to leave snow banked under the branches long after the open lawns nearby have gone bare. Mission Exteriors clears the driveways and walkways along those tree-lined streets, working through neighborhoods where the canopy keeps the cold shade going well past the point the rest of Johnson County has thawed out. The crew often catches the tail end of a storm at dusk as much as the front end at dawn, since a boulevard shaded by old growth can still be holding ice hours after the sun has finished its work everywhere else. Driveway by driveway and walkway by walkway, the effort here is steady rather than dramatic — no towering drifts, just persistent shade and the ice it keeps. Even a short cleared stretch under those boulevard trees makes the whole block easier to move through.
