Green Goes Mowing

About Green Goes Mowing

Leawood wakes slow under its oaks, and the first cut of the day happens while the streets are still blue with shade and the dew is heavy enough to darken a boot. Green Goes Mowing keeps to those early hours — mowing, edging, string trimming, and blowing the drives and walks clear before the neighborhood is out with its coffee. A town this thickly canopied throws its light in patches, so a cut has to hold its line through sun and shadow alike. The fescue along Lee Boulevard likes a tall blade and a steady rotation, and it repays both. The satisfaction is small and exact: straight passes, clean corners, and a curb that looks finished from the far side of the street.
