About Wilkens Lawn Care LLC
The first cut of the year in Leavenworth lands on a morning when fog is still lifting off the Missouri and the fescue has gone that startling early green. Wilkens Lawn Care LLC starts the season right there — mowing, trimming out fence lines and tree rings, edging the walks and drives, and clearing away the winter's scatter of sticks and matted leaves. From April on it settles into a weekly rhythm through the neighborhoods, adjusted for whatever the Kansas sky has been doing that week. Autumn brings the leaf rounds and the cleanup that puts a lawn down for the cold. There is a plain, good feeling in the last pass of a yard: shutting the mower off and hearing how quiet the block has gotten.
