Comfort Mowing and Lawn Care

About Comfort Mowing and Lawn Care

By evening in midsummer the oaks in South Park have finally thrown enough shade to make the air bearable, and that is the hour Lawrence looks at its lawns. Comfort Mowing and Lawn Care works the neighborhoods around it on a recurring turn — mowing, string trimming around trunks and posts, edging the drive, then blowing the walks so nothing tracks inside. Cutting a little taller through the heat keeps the grass green across the dry stretch of August, and that is how it is left. There is comfort in coming home to a yard already done: the mower gone, the cicadas going, the edge along the sidewalk sharp as a chalk line. Homes across Lawrence and out to Eudora and Baldwin City.
