About Comfort Systems Inc

There's a stretch of prairie west of Larned where the old Santa Fe Trail wagon ruts still show faintly through the winter grass, proof that people were crossing this cold, open ground long before anyone thought to plow a driveway. Comfort Systems Inc works considerably closer to town, clearing driveways, sidewalks, and lots once a Pawnee County storm has moved through, so the walk to a car or a mailbox isn't a small ordeal. The cold out here rarely eases in gradually; a front drops the temperature fast and leaves a hard wind to finish the job, piling drifts against porches and fence lines that weren't there the night before. Those exposed spots get worked first, then the crew moves through the rest of town, working driveways back to bare pavement and knocking down the ice that lingers longest in the shade. It isn't much, in the end, but a dry, clear path on a genuinely cold morning is its own relief.
