About Twisted Timber

Kiowa sits right on the Oklahoma line in Barber County, the town where Carrie Nation began her saloon-smashing crusade in 1900. These days it is gentler country, all wide streets, cattle pasture, and a hot south wind that leans on the cedars. Twisted Timber brings lawn care to Kiowa, mowing yards in straight, even passes and cutting back the grass that crowds fences and porches. The name has a gnarled, weathered ring to it, yet the lawns come out anything but twisted: level, clean-edged, and calm under the strong southern Kansas sun.
