Focal Pointe

About Focal Pointe

Sunrise climbs slow over the ridge roads in Turner, a pink line of light holding on the bluffs above the Kansas River while the valley below stays gray. Focal Pointe is out on those ridges early, working driveways that climb at an angle steep enough to matter once ice takes hold. A walkway gets cleared to the stone underneath, the handrail wiped bare so a hand finds metal instead of ice. Parking areas along the bluff-top streets get plowed in wide, even passes, snow pushed to the shoulder instead of left to refreeze in the lane. From that ridge in Kansas City, KS, the whole river valley spreads out white and still until the morning traffic starts again.
