Ellerman Snow Removal

About Ellerman Snow Removal

Fog sits low over the Argentine rail yards on the coldest mornings, a freight whistle carrying further than usual through snow-muffled air. Ellerman Snow Removal works the same hours, plowing streets and lots around the yards before shift-change traffic backs up against a snowbank. A driveway near the tracks gets opened down to the concrete, the blade following roughly the same grade the rail line holds a few blocks over. Walkways get cleared and salted so a boot doesn't skate on the way to a truck idling at the curb. Around Argentine and the rest of Kansas City, KS, the trains keep running through the snow, and the plow keeps pace with them.
