Legacy Lawns

About Legacy Lawns

The elevator at Inman stands up out of the wheat and can be picked out from a long way off; that is how this country works, a few tall things and a great deal of sky. In June the fields go from green to a hard gold in about a week, and the town's lawns hit their stride right alongside them. Legacy Lawns keeps them there — mowing on a set turn, trimming out around foundations and posts, edging drives and walks, and gathering the cuttings rather than leaving them in drifts. Wind is a plain fact of life here, so nothing is finished until the concrete is clear and every blade is back on the grass. In a town this open, a well-kept yard shows from three blocks off, same as the elevator does.
