J&C TREE SERVICE

About J&C TREE SERVICE

Ice is the quiet trouble in this corner of Kansas — it arrives overnight, and by first light the hackberries along the brick streets are bowed to the ground. J&C TREE SERVICE answers those mornings with storm damage cleanup, opening driveways and lifting broken limbs off porch roofs and clotheslines. The rest of the year runs steadier: trimming crowns back off rooflines, pruning shade trees so a yard south of Independence keeps its cool through July, removing the ones that have quit for good. Every October the whole town walks the sidewalks for Neewollah, and there is something in having good trees overhead when it does. The measure of a job here is whether a neighbor can tell one was done.
