Scott's Professional Landscape

About Scott's Professional Landscape

Underneath South Hutchinson there are miles of salt rooms, cut and hauled out for a century while the town went about its business overhead. Scott's Professional Landscape works the surface of that same ground — grading, bed work, planting and lawn care on soil that runs sandy and drains fast. A landscape here has to make sense in January as well as June, when the trees are bare and only the shapes remain: the curve of a bed, the border of a walk, a lawn held to a clean outline. The best hour to see it is dusk, when the light goes long and low across Reno County and every edge stands up. Then the trailer gate goes up and the street is left tidier than it was found.
