Pankratz Lawn Care

About Pankratz Lawn Care

Go south of Hutchinson toward Yoder and the roads turn sandy, buggy tracks and pickup tracks pressed into the same shoulder, wheat standing gold in the last week of June. Pankratz Lawn Care works that stretch of Reno County and the town blocks alike, cutting on a rhythm that keeps a lawn ahead of the heat rather than forever chasing it. Mow, trim the fence line, edge the walk, blow the drive — plain work, done in order, finished before supper. Hedgerows of Osage orange still mark the old field lines out there, and a kept yard does the same thing to a street: a clear border, an honest shape. Mower sound carries a long way over flat country, and then the evening goes quiet again.
