Daniels Auction Service

About Daniels Auction Service

On sale days the gravel lot outside Humboldt fills with trucks from three counties, engines ticking as they cool in the cold while everyone files in past the Neosho River bottomland toward the auction barn. Daniels Auction Service needs that lot open and level more than almost anyone else in town, since a full parking lot iced over or drifted shut turns a sale day into a problem before the first item ever crosses the block. Clearing it means wide, even passes across open gravel, snow pushed back far enough that trucks can still turn and back into a row. The low hills east of town roll up gently from the river bottomland, holding on to drifts in their folds longer than the flat ground does, so the crew checks those spots again before customers start arriving. By sale time the lot sits clear from fence to fence, ready for however many trucks show up.
