About Elite Lawn Care LLC

Stevens County sits over the Hugoton gas field, and after dark the wellhead lights blink steady across the flat ground around town, small points of light spaced out over snow that runs unbroken between them. Elite Lawn Care works the same open properties in winter that it mows all summer, and clearing a driveway or a lot out here means accounting for a wind that has nothing standing in its way for miles. A drift that looks finished at noon can rebuild itself by the time the wellhead lights come on, so this crew treats the first pass as a start rather than an end. Sidewalks around the Stevens County courthouse square get shoveled by hand where a blade would chew up the concrete edge, cleared corner to corner before foot traffic picks up. By the time the gas field lights are the brightest thing on the horizon, the driveways back in town sit open and dark against the snow.
