About Miller Lawns, Inc.

Spring in Barton County arrives on wings: the shallow water at Cheyenne Bottoms fills with birds, and the wind crossing Hoisington carries the sound of them for miles. Miller Lawns, Inc. reads that same wind all season, because out on the central Kansas plains it decides which way clippings fly and how quickly a lawn dries after a storm. The work is steady and unglamorous, mowing on the schedule the grass sets, edging along the sidewalk squares, trimming the fence rows, sweeping the drive so the curb line shows again. Hoisington yards catch big weather, and holding one green and square through it simply takes showing up. Nothing fancy about it, just a block that looks kept, one yard at a time.
