About Romp Tree Care, LLC

Out on the high plains the wind is a full-time neighbor, and the cottonwoods along Big Creek carry the record of it in every leaning limb. Romp Tree Care works the shade of Hays — elms on the brick side streets, hackberries holding down a corner of a yard, the windbreak rows that take the brunt for everybody behind them. Trimming and pruning here amount to a conversation with weather: open a crown so a gust passes through it instead of taking it apart. When a June thunderhead comes off the Smoky Hills and leaves half a tree across a driveway, storm damage cleanup runs until the drive is passable and the yard is raked out. Removal is the last resort, and when it is done right the only thing left to notice is the low gold light on the limestone posts west of town.
