About G&H WorX

In June the wheat around Hays turns the color of a struck match, and the elevators stand up over the flat like they're holding the sky off the ground. G&H WorX gets going early, before the trucks thicken along I-70 and before the heat settles in for good — mowing, trimming, edging, seasonal cleanups and hauling off whatever is left behind. Out here the work gets measured plainly: the yard was rough at seven and it's square by ten. There's a plainspoken pride in that, the same kind the harvest runs on. Nothing fancy about it — just finished, and finished well enough to see from the road.
