About Rooted Landscape

In April the redbuds break out along the fencerows toward Gardner Lake, that improbable purple against gray branches, and the turf underneath finally wakes up. Rooted Landscape starts its season right there: the first mow of the year, edges re-cut after the winter has blurred them, trimming tightened around posts and beds and mailboxes. Everything here is anchored to that first warm stretch — what gets set right in April carries a yard through August. The mornings are cool then, the ground still soft, the mower leaving one clear line behind it. It is a good hour to be outside working on somebody's front yard.
