Scott’s Lawn & Landscaping

About Scott’s Lawn & Landscaping

When the wind swings north in November, the sycamores down along the Cottonwood let go all at once and Emporia's yards fill overnight. Scott's Lawn & Landscaping is out in it — final cuts run low, leaves pulled off the turf and out of the bed lines, drives and walks cleared before the light quits. Mulching the dry ones back into the lawn beats hauling them anywhere. The rest of the calendar is ordinary mowing and trimming, week in and week out, from the first flush of April to that last cold pass. There is something good about handing a yard over to winter with nothing left undone.
