RC Tree Trimming

About RC Tree Trimming

Soden's Grove Park holds some of Emporia's oldest trees, and after an ice storm their limbs bow low over the paths that loop through it. RC Tree Trimming spends most of the year up in that same canopy, so an icy path is a familiar kind of problem: clear what's underfoot, keep an eye on what's overhead. The crew works the park loop early. Then it moves to the streets around it, scraping walkways down before the ice has a chance to glaze over the footprints already in it. A path through Soden's Grove cut back to bare concrete, frost still hanging on the branches above, is as far as most people look before deciding the walk is safe. Emporia's older neighborhoods lean on that same attention every time the sky turns gray.
