About Keystone Dirtworks

The Lyon County Courthouse anchors the middle of Emporia, and its square is one of the first stretches Keystone Dirtworks clears once a heavy snow covers downtown overnight. Dirt work is a summer trade of graders and excavators, but the same operators set a plow blade low and even, bringing the same feel for grade to a lot buried in white. A courthouse square gone from drifted to swept clean in a single pass says as much about the crew as any grading job does in July. From there the routes move out to the surrounding blocks, each lot getting the same attention as a foundation site. Emporia's county business doesn't slow down for weather, and this crew doesn't either.
